Se ubica a unos 15 minutos en auto del ingreso al Lago Epuyén, y a unos 400 metros de la Ruta Nacional 40.

Epuyén se encuentra al noroeste de la provincia de Chubut y es otro de los integrantes de la Comarca Andina del Paralelo 42, un grupo biprovincial de localidades y parajes cordilleranos de la comarca.



Epuyen es pueblo pequeño rodeado de valles, mesetas y pampas de hasta 700 metros. Los valles son regados por magníficos arroyos y arroyuelos que se deslizan entre bosques de cipreses, coihues y maitenes entre otras especies.



La actividad productiva se vuelca principalmente a la agricultura y la ganadería además de la elaboración de exquisitos dulces caseros. Las opciones de mayor atractivo las constituyen la pesca deportiva en el lago Epuyén y las caminatas por las laderas del cerro Pirque.



Epuyén es un buen lugar para llegar a descansar. Cuenta con una hostería sobre la costa del lago, campings, albergues y cabañas.
